mix-and-match rib sock recipe
This basic sock recipe is a great starting place for mastering the basics of toe-up socks and can be used as a base for practicing the toe and heel worksheets in the back of this book. It's also sized to fit just about anyone. Don't be afraid to play around with it!
Approximately 80 (125, 150, 250, 325, 400, 450, 475) yards heavy fingering-weight or sport-weight yarn
Samples use Dale of Norway Baby Ull (100% merino wool) in 5303 for baby socks, Louet Gems Sport (100% merino Wool) in Mourning Dove for toddler socks, Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino (55% merino wool, 33% microfiber, 12% cashmere) in Dusty Lavender for child's socks, Fleece Artist Casbah (80% merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon) in Vintage for women's socks and Dream in Color Smooshy (100% merino wool) in Good Luck Jade for men's socks.
US2 (2.75mm) needles or size needed to obtain gauge
