syncopated rib boot socks

This is a simple worsted-weight ribbed sock with a slight twist on the ribbing pattern - instead of repeating a small sequence over and over (such as k1, p1 or k2, p2), this rib mimics the syncopated jazz beat of short-long-short. These are my husband's new favorite socks!

Materials:

Approximately 150 (200, 250, 275, 300, 350) yards worsted-weight yarn

Samples use Dream in Color Class (100% merino wool) in Cool Fire for child's socks and Louet Gems Worsted (100% merino wool) in Navy for men's socks.

US3 (3.25mm) needles or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge:

6 stitches/8 rounds per inch in stockinette stitch

Sizes:

Foot circumference = approximately 5 (6, 7, 8, 9, 10)"
